Reasons Why Cristiano Ronaldo Is Better Than Lionel Messi

Ronaldo has proven himself in multiple leagues

The Premier League is quite easily the most competitive league in the world and there is no doubt that Ronaldo was the standout player in the game’s most competitive league during his spell at Manchester United.

Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson brilliantly explained why he would choose Ronaldo over Messi. In an earlier interview, Ferguson said:

“When the ball is at Messi’s feet it is like he is wearing slippers,But there is a difference between Messi and Ronaldo and I’ll tell you what it is. I think Messi is a Barcelona player but Ronaldo could be playing for Stockport County and he would score a hat-trick. He is brilliant in the air and he has two feet.” The La Liga is more often than not a two horse race and until Messi is able to prove himself on a “cold, wet night at Stoke”, Ronaldo will always hold the edge.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a more complete player than Lionel Messi

Both Messi and Ronaldo are capable of spectacular things on the ball. Both of them are blessed with incredible agility and dribbling skills, but what sets Ronaldo apart and makes him the more complete player is his incredible heading ability.

Time and again, the Portuguese superstar has cropped up at important situations in important matches scoring amazing headers to tilt the balance in favour of his team. Lionel Messi’s main strengths are his close control, dribbling, and agility.

While, Ronaldo can come close if not better Messi in all those areas, there is no denying that fact that Ronaldo is miles ahead in his athletic and physical abilities, thus making him the more complete player in comparison to the Argentine maestro.

International success

Lionel Messi might have won every club trophy there is to win, but if there is one trophy lacking in his stellar CV, it is a trophy with Argentina. The Barcelona superstar has come heartbreakingly close with Argentina on multiple occasions, but he has yet to lay his hands on a trophy while playing with the Albiceleste.

The greatest players are always capable of raising their game and even inspiring a mediocre team to success, and Ronaldo with the Euro 2016 triumph has firmly cemented his legacy as one of the game’s all-time greats.Until Messi manages to win a trophy with the talented Argentina side, Ronaldo will always hold an edge over him in any debate.

Gareth Bale’s agent has blasted the treatment of the Wales international from Real Madrid supporters as “nothing short of a disgrace”.

Despite having formed part of a trophy-laden era for the Blancos, a 29-year-old forward continues to have his critics in the Spanish capital.

Form and fitness issues have been endured throughout a six-year spell at Santiago Bernabeu, but there have been as many highs as lows.

The Wales international has faced plenty of criticism in the Spanish capital this season, but he will not be running away from Santiago Bernabeu.

Jonathan Barnett believes Madrid fans would be wise to remember as much, with Bale having contributed significantly to the success of the club in recent seasons.

He believes those efforts are being unfairly overlooked during a testing campaign for all concerned, with one of the finest players on the planet becoming a scapegoat for those who should be grateful for his presence.

Barnett told Sky Sports: “This generation of Real fans will be talking about Gareth’s goals for years to come. Frankly, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Gareth Bale Real Madrid 2018-19

“Gareth deserves the greatest of respect. The way Real fans have treated him is nothing short of a disgrace.

“In the six years he has been in Spain, he has won everything. He’s one of the best players in the world. Those fans should be kissing his feet.”

Bale was jeered from the field on his most recent outing for Madrid after he was drafted back into Santiago Solari’s starting line-up for their Clasico clash with Barcelona on Saturday but lasted just 61 minutes.

Real were already trailing 1-0 when he was replaced by Marco Asensio and would go on to suffer defeat by that scoreline to their arch-rivals.

Bale contributed little while on the pitch, but the same could be said for many of those around him.

Such issues have lead to reports that he will be allowed to leave Los Blancos this summer, with Manchester United and former club Tottenham among those linked with his signature.

Barnett, though, insists his client will not be departing the Spanish capital this summer while refuting claims Bale has struggled to integrate himself into life abroad.

“Despite what the Spanish press are reporting, he’s happy, he speaks reasonable Spanish and there is no problem between him and the rest of the Real players. The people writing these things know nothing about him.

“There has not been one single discussion about Gareth leaving Madrid. He isn’t going anywhere this summer. Despite what’s been reported, he’s content, he wants to stay at Real and they want him.”

Bale has contributed 15 goals to the Madrid cause this season, including a hat-trick against Kashima Antlers during another successful Club World Cup campaign.

His outings have taken him past 100 strikes for the club, and 200 appearances, but intense speculation continues to surround his future amid talk of a possible Premier League return this summer for the former Tottenham man.

Barnett has moved on a regular basis to quash such talk, but his latest comments are likely to have done little to dampen the exit speculation in Spain.

Lukaku Sends Cryptic Message After Report of Bust-Up With Paul Pogba Over Penalty Miss

The Manchester United Forward was reportedly angry with his team-mate for not letting him take the spot-kick against Southampton but he’s seemingly denied the story.

Romelu Lukaku has posted a cryptic message where he appears to deny a report that had claimed he had a row with Manchester United team-mate Paul Pogba over the Frenchman’s penalty miss against Southampton.

A report in The Sun newspaper claimed that the pair had to be separated by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the game, with Lukaku apparently unhappy that Pogba had denied him the chance of scoring a hat-trick.

United had fallen behind in Saturday’s Premier League clash, with Yan Valery’s stunning strike having given Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side a shock lead at Old Trafford after 26 minutes.

Andreas Pereira levelled shortly after half-time, however, before two goals from Belgium international Lukaku, either side of an equaliser from James Ward-Prowse, put the hosts in front.

Then came the penalty incident that saw Pogba, the club’s designated taker, have his effort saved by goalkeeper Angus Gunn to stop United moving further in front in the game.

And The Sun claims that Lukaku was apparently unhappy not to have been allowed to take the spot-kick to complete his hat-trick and that he let Pogba know how he felt at full-time.

The 25-year-old has now seemingly denied the story, however, posting on Twitter: “When the hate don’t work they start telling lies…”

Indeed, he had scored from his last three attempts, against Brighton, Burnley, and Fulham, although his miss against Southampton means his record now stands at six scored from nine.

The result against Southampton means United are still very much in the hunt for a top-four finish, with Solskjaer’s side currently occupying fourth, one point ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal.

They will turn their attention to the Champions League next, however, and their crunch last-16 second-leg meeting with PSG in Paris.

The French side hold all the aces in the tie having claimed an impressive 2-0 win over the Red Devils at Old Trafford – Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe grabbing the goals in the first leg back on February 12.

And United’s task is all the more difficult bearing in mind that Pogba, who has been so influential for the club since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as manager, is suspended for the game after his second yellow card for a foul on Dani Alves.

Mbappe More Like Ronaldo Than Messi

Mbappe More Like Ronaldo Than Messi

Kylian Mbappe is considered to be more of the Ronaldo mould than Lionel Messi-esque, with the Paris Saint-Germain star compared to Brazilian and Portuguese stars bearing an iconic moniker.

At just 20 years of age, a World Cup-winning France international is already considered to sit alongside the global elite.

His performances for club and country have positioned him among illustrious company and seen him regularly billed as a Ballon d’Or winner of the future.

Image result for Mbappe More Like Ronaldo Than Messi

Former PSG striker Pauleta is in no doubt that Mbappe will one day claim that prestigious prize – possibly on multiple occasions – with there still much potential to be unlocked in one so young.

He told L’Equipe of one of the most exciting talents to have emerged for some time: “It’s been two or three years now that he has been impressing everyone.

“He is a player who can make a difference at any time, he has reached a very high level and has already won a lot when still at the beginning of his career. He is a player who can make fans love PSG.

“He can reach the level of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo and win several Ballons d’Or.

“He can also continue winning with PSG. The club has done a lot for him, I hope he will stay there. When you are young, you can always learn and go even higher.”

Image result for Mbappe More Like Ronaldo Than Messi

Pressed on whether Mbappe will go on to become more like mercurial Argentine Messi or Portuguese goal machine Ronaldo, Pauleta added: “He reminds me more of Cristiano Ronaldo, who started on one side and evolved more and more.

“I see him finishing like a No. 9 but today he is not one yet.

“I prefer him on the left side as he likes to go inside with his right foot. He has more space on one side to make his power count. He could evolve into a No. 10, though, behind one or two attackers.”

Among those with the power to mould Mbappe’s future role is current PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.

He has seen the youngster thrive as a talismanic striker over recent weeks during the injury-enforced absence of fellow frontmen Edinson Cavani and Neymar.

Tuchel believes that is the position that Mbappe will eventually settle in.

He told BT Sport ahead of a Champions League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday: “I do not see him as a Messi but as a real attacker.

“But, for me, he can become the best striker in the world. He’s on the way towards that.”

Pressed on whether similarities could be drawn with another Ronaldo – the Brazilian World Cup winner – Tuchel added: “Yes, it’s a good comparison. I never thought about it, but it’s a good comparison.”

Foods to Cleanse and Care For Your Liver

Foods to Cleanse and Care For Your Liver

1. Beets

Beets are bright and beautiful, like an insane shot of wellness for your whole body, including your liver. Their red, purplish hues may seem a bit overwhelming, but nature was smart in the way she created foods to mimic the benefits they have on the body. For example, beets look like the color of blood, and coincidentally, they naturally cleanse and purify the blood, which boosts liver function, and nutrient production in your body. Beets are also high in antioxidants and important nutrients including folate, fiber (in the form of pectin), iron, betaine, betalains, betacyanin, and betanin. Pectin is a soluble form of fiber that’s well known for its cleansing properties and ability to keep you full. Beets’ fibers and nutrients help the body flush toxins that are often stored in our liver so they can be evacuated out of the body instead of reabsorbed into the bloodstream. So, stop hating on the bloody color of beets- these little red gems are amazing for you! Find out how to use them best with some of our best beet recipes.

2. Broccoli

Shaped like mini trees, broccoli gives life to your body and its bright green hues indicate the high level of antioxidants and chlorophyll found in the cruciferous veggie. Broccoli is high in fiber that naturally cleanses the body from carcinogens and other toxins.  Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and other members of the cruciferous veggie family also contain glucosinolates which help the liver produce enzymes to aid in the removal of toxins and aid in digestion. Broccoli is also a good source of fat-soluble Vitamin E, an especially important antioxidant for the liver. If you’re tired of typical broccoli recipes, try these 12 Yummy Ways to Enjoy Broccoli for something new!

3. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes (along with carrots and winter squash such as butternut and pumpkin) are all rich in beta-carotene, which is a natural anti-inflammatory nutrient your body loves! Beta carotene converts to Vitamin A in the body, directly in the liver. It’s important to get your Vitamin A through beta-carotene rich foods in place of supplements. Supplements with too much Vitamin A can be toxic to the liver since Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin (meaning more gets stored than excreted.) Sweet potatoes and other foods rich in Vitamin A, however, do not cause liver toxicity and cannot be stored for long-term use like supplements can. Sweet potatoes are also rich in fiber and Vitamin C, other cleansing and immunity-boosting nutrients that help your liver function at its best. Try using sweet potatoes roasted in a hearty, plant-based dinner, or use them as a simple lunch by stuffing them with salsa and some hummus for an easy mid-day meal.

4. Lemons

Lemons love your liver and your liver loves them right back! Lemons are a natural cleansing food and essentially one of the best to “get things going” in all areas of your body. Lemons provide a wealth of antioxidants, primarily Vitamin C, and they help your liver produce more enzymes which give you more energy and help with digestion. Lemons are also a natural replacement for salt in the diet since they’re high in electrolytes that support your body but that don’t dehydrate your cells as sodium does. In fact, they’re often recommended as a salt replacement for individuals on a liver disease diet for this reason. Lemons are also alkalizing to the body, despite being acidic on their own. Once they enter the body, they help neutralize toxins, excrete wastes, and jump-start the entire digestive process. Use organic lemons since you don’t want any chemicals from conventional lemon peels interfering with their benefits. This Red Lentil Soup with Fresh Cilantro and Lemon is a great recipe to care for your liver and your appetite at the same time!

5. Lentils

Speaking of lentils, your liver loves them too! Lentils are rich in fiber, which assists with the cleansing process and they’re also a natural source of plant-based protein. Too much protein is not recommended since it can be especially hard on the liver. Lentils provide just enough protein to support your body without causing any harm. They’re also some of the easiest legumes to digest, which will help your body use them better for nutrient distribution.

6. Minimal Amounts of Healthy Fats

Healthy fats are important to any diet, plant-based or not, but too much is never a good thing when it comes to fats. Your liver needs fat for proper function, but too much can cause problems with bile production, which will affect the digestion of fats and possibly other issues of digestion. Healthy fats that are beneficial for your liver include avocados, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and almonds, along with olives, coconut, chia seeds, and flax seeds. Other nuts and seeds are also beneficial, but be sure to avoid most oils, which can be hard on the liver to process and distribute into nutrients. Some exceptions include small amounts of olive, flax, or coconut oil. Avocados and walnuts are especially rich in properties that help your body produce more glutathione, which is used for the detoxification and filtration of harmful substances. This Creamy Pumpkin Acai Bowl is a fantastic way to enjoy avocados in a delicious new way if you need a fresh idea.

7. Apples

Apples are rich in pectin, the soluble fiber that helps remove toxins and cholesterol from the blood, which helps your liver big time! They’re also rich in malic acid, a natural cleansing nutrient that removes carcinogens and other toxins from the blood. Granny Smith apples are especially rich in malic acid, along with being one of the most antioxidant-rich apple varieties. All apples are great for your liver, however, but be sure to choose organic apples since they’re one of the worst sources of pesticides in conventional form.

8. Garlic

Garlic is rich in allicin and selenium, two powerhouse nutrients for your liver. They act in cleansing and in nourishing the entire body, especially the blood. Selenium is a naturally detoxifying mineral and allicin helps ward off immune system invaders, which helps lighten the load on your liver. Garlic also activates enzymes in the liver which help with overall digestion and flushing out toxins. Use whole garlic cloves as the best option, instead of processed minced garlic or powder. Roasted Garlic, Miso and Green Soup would be an excellent liver-friendly recipe to enjoy.

9. Onions

Like garlic, onions are also rich in allicin that flush out the liver and the digestive tract. They’re also packed with potassium, fiber, phytonutrients, and flavonoids that help your body do everything from fight a nasty cold to repel toxic chemicals. Onions may stink odor-wise, but they’re are a well-known detoxifying food to enjoy anyhow. To avoid possible indigestion, avoid too many raw onions and give them a gentle cooking. Try them in a recipe such as Soothing Vegan French Onion Soup or Eggplant, Onion and Tomato Stew.

10. Leafy Greens

The nutritional all-star ingredients for just about every health issue are leafy greens. Like the rest of your body, your liver loves the leafies! Spinach, kale, chard, romaine, arugula, and collards are all some of the most nutrient-dense leafy greens to enjoy. They’re packed with chlorophyll to purify the blood, which assists in liver function and they help neutralize heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and even pesticides that burden the liver. Just be sure to buy organic once again, so you get the benefits. Tired of your usual recipes? Here are 35 Delicious Ways to Eat More Greens!

Now give your liver some plant-based loving with these foods and remember that sugar, alcohol, lack of exercise, multiple trips to the coffee maker, animal foods, and stuff out of a box and bag with a laundry list of ingredients are not your liver’s friend. Take care of your liver so it can take care of you!

Add These to Your Breakfast to Stay Full and Lose Weight

Add These to Your Breakfast to Stay Full and Lose Weight

Breakfast was one of those things I never took too seriously. I would normally grab whatever was most convenient on my way out the door in the morning, and that was the extent of my morning meal. However, like clockwork, I became painfully hungry by 10 a.m., at which point I would either overeat or reach for the closest food I could get my hands on. I knew I had to change my breakfast game if I wanted to stay healthy. So I set out to revamp my outlook on breakfast, and by adding these six ingredients to my morning grub, I kept a clean diet for the rest of the day and kept off the extra weight.

More Calories

I used to be frightened of consuming too many calories in the morning, but putting small amounts of food into my belly in the morning only made me binge-eat later, so I chose to beef up the sheer amount of food I was eating every morning. Now I try to consume around 400 to 500 calories for breakfast, which usually comes in the form of a nutrition-packed green smoothie. Simply having all that sustenance in my body stops me from snacking before lunchtime rolls around.

A Scoop of Coconut Oil

There has been a lot of debate over coconut oil lately and whether it’s good for you. But many experts say that when eaten in moderation along with a healthy diet, unrefined extra-virgin coconut oil can do great things for your weight-loss goals. The saturated fats in coconut oil differ from the saturated fats found in animal sources and are believed to be burned as fuel for your body rather than being stored as fat. By spreading a tablespoon on my sprouted toast or tossing it into my smoothie, I stay full for longer and feel more energetic.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are high in protein, fiber, calcium, antioxidants, and omega-3s and can be made in a variety of ways for breakfast. I like to soak two tablespoons of chia seeds in unsweetened almond milk overnight, which gives me a delicious chia pudding that has 11 grams of fiber and four grams of protein. I also add fresh fruit and some cinnamon, and it feels like a morning dessert!

My smoothies have gotten a serious upgrade since I started adding in a quarter of an avocado, which has 3.4 grams of fiber. Avocado is a food that prevents bloating, curbs hunger, and makes you feel fuller in the long run. Plus, I can’t think of anything that tastes better on morning toast.

Dark Chocolate

This sounds unconventional, but it’s a weird (and tasty) trick that has been my saving grace. A study conducted at Tel Aviv University found that participants who ate a 600-calorie breakfast that included dessert lost, on average, 40 more pounds than those who ate a smaller, more restrictive breakfast. I can totally see why that’s the case. There’s something about indulging in the early morning that keeps me from wanting to mindlessly snack for the rest of the day.

Plant-Based Protein Powder

Merely consuming more protein will help you stay fuller for longer, so I made it a priority to eat more in the morning. I never make a smoothie anymore without adding in one or two scoops of Garden of Life Sport Plant-Based Protein Powder, which has 30 grams of all-natural protein and only seven grams of carbs. It’s a miracle worker that tastes decadent and fills my belly for the next several hours.

There must not be any discrepancy between the information that they provided at the time of filing applications and what they say during their interview. For example, if a person has filed an application for a B-2 tourist visa and if the interviewer asks about his purpose of travel, he must tell the interviewer that he wishes to travel to America for tourism purposes. He must not say that he would be interested in staying back in the country permanently if he gets attracted to the country or with his children who are there.

1. Ties to Home Country:

Under Canadian Immigration law, applicants wishing to study in Canada are viewed as intending immigrants until they can convince the consular officer that they are not. You must, therefore, be able to show that you have reasons to return to your home country that are stronger than those for remaining in Canada. “Ties” to your home country are the things that bind you to your hometown, homeland, or current place of residence: job, family, financial prospects that you own or will inherit, investments, etc. If you are a prospective undergraduate, you need to write about your specific intentions or promise of future employment, family or other relationships, educational objectives, grades, long-range plans, and career prospects in your home country. Each person’s situation is different, of course, and there is no magic explanation or single document, certificate, or letter which can guarantee visa issuance.

2. Know the Program and How it Fits Your Career Plans:

If you are not able to articulate the reasons you decided to study a particular program in Canada, you may not succeed in convincing the consular officer that you are indeed planning to study, rather than to immigrate. You should also be able to explain how studying in Canada relates to your future professional career when you return home.

3. Be Concise:

Because of the volume of applications received, all consular officers are under considerable time pressure to review documents. They must make a decision, for the most part, on the impressions they form during the first minute or two of looking at your study permit application. Consequently, how you package your visa application is critical to your success. Keep your statement of purpose concise and straight to the point answers.

4. Supplemental Documentation:

It should be clear at a glance to the consular officer what written documents you are presenting and what they signify. Lengthy written explanations cannot be quickly read or evaluated.

5. Not All Countries are Equal:

Applicants from countries like Nigeria with economic challenges or from countries where many students have remained in Canada as immigrants will have more difficulty getting visas. Statistically, applicants from those countries are more likely to be intending immigrants. They are also more likely to be refused based on the lack of adequate funds available for their study in Canada. To overcome this challenge, it is important to present financial statements that show you can afford to pay for your one-year tuition and you have enough left for accommodation, transportation, feeding and miscellaneous expenses.

6. Employment:

Your primary purpose of coming to Canada should be to study, not for the chance to work before or after graduation. While many students are permitted to work for 20hrs per week, such employment is incidental to their main purpose of completing their Canadian education. You must be able to clearly articulate your plan to return home at the end of your program. If your spouse and children are also applying for accompanying visa, be aware that you have to prove to the consular officer that you have enough financial resources to pay for your children’s education in Canada and not rely on employment in Canada to support their education. You also need to address what your spouse intends to do with his or her time while in Canada. Working and attending school part-time are permitted activities.

7. Dependents Remaining at Home:

If your spouse and children are remaining behind in Nigeria, be prepared to address how they will support themselves in your absence. This can be an especially tricky area if you are the primary source of income for your family. If the consular officer has the impression that your family members will need you to remit money from Canada in order to support themselves, your student visa application will almost certainly be denied. If your family does decide to join you at a later time, it is helpful to have them apply at the same post where you applied for your visa.
