The University of New South Wales is pleased to welcome applicants for the Anita B. Lawrence PhD Scholarships in Acoustics for the academic year 2022/23. This fellowship is open to new and returning students, foreign and domestic, and part-time and full-time students enrolling in an approved higher degree research study at UNSW.

The selection process will consider academic quality and interest in the research topic. The shortlisted applicants will be paid $30,000 per year plus a $5,000 research stipend—the Anita B. Lawrence Ph.D. Scholarship in Acoustics 2022-23 will provide chosen students with new and improved chances as well as exposure to advanced learning in PhD programs.

Overview Of University Of New South Wales

The University of New South Wales is an Australian public research university located in Sydney. It is a founding member of the Group of Eight, an alliance of Australian research-intensive institutions. UNSW is a research university founded in 1949. It is rated 44th in the world in the 2021 QS World University Rankings and 67th in the world in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It is a part of the worldwide network of research institutions known as Universitas 21. It has international exchange and research agreements with over 200 institutions worldwide.

According to the 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject, UNSW is rated first in Australia for Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology and first in the world for Law, Accounting, and Finance. Scholarship Benefits

  • The Scholarship will include a $30,000 annual stipend for basic living expenses and a $5,000 annual research grant. It will be paid over a period of 3.5 years. If the winner is foreign, the award will be held in combination with a Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS).

  • If the scholarship is given to an existing and/or part-time applicant, the length and payment will be prorated.
